Attention & Emotion in the Age of AI –
New York, USA | November 19, 2026
How can real human experiences be assessed in the age of AI?
With an increasing number of options and the rise of natural-language interfaces such as ChatGPT and Google AI, the field of communication is expanding beyond the boundaries of search and webpages. We see two streams, both new and familiar, converging.
On the one hand, video is taking on the role of delivering unifying, collective messages.
On the other, the natural interfaces of AI represents the opposite end of the spectrum, providing highly individualised and idiosyncratic experiences.
Amid the current wave of disruption, it is often overlooked that human beings—with their bodies, souls, and minds—shape the emergence of new technologies and that data referring to real human experiences are not identical with the output of a natural language interface.
At MEMEX, we will present an update on our neurosemiotic theory, with a particular focus on recent theoretical developments concerning emotion.
We will also provide an update on the latest technological advances in SEAL and Sandbox.
Are you a research professional, a user of eye square technologies, a marketing professional, or a member of the academic community? Then this is just the right event for you! We warmly invite you to be part of this year’s Memex New York 2026.
